Sello Lawrence: New Nation
This is a very special CD, because it was all his initiative. He has composed all the tracks, wrote all the lyrics, sang the songs, recorded and produced the whole album. Sello has created all those drum beats, played all those bass-lines, never mention those sweet guitars on "Thank You Jah". Nice little guitar riffs on "Realistic", and the organ is bubbling.
Sello Lawrence: Africa
In the years 2000-2001 Sello wrote and sang the song AFRICA on the album LESIEM: MYSTIC SPIRIT VOICES: CHAPTER 2. Recorded at the famous Hansa Studios in Berlin, where David Bowie has been recording while he was in Germany. AFRICA was later released as a Single. Both songs, AFRICA and INDALO have been compiled already with artist like MIKE OLDFIELD, FLEETWOOD MAC, MOBY, GREGORIAN and so on.
Sello Lawrence: Indalo
INDALO has also been recorded around 2000-2001, and is on the album LESIEM: MYSTIC SPIRIT VOICES. It was later released as a Single too. The album was released in more than 45 countries around the world.
Makwerhu: Trip To Africa
Makwerhu was a band of five guys. Mike, Morris, Wakhile, Sello and Toby. Their last CD: TRIP TO AFRICA was released around 1996-1997 in Berlin. In that Album Sello composed and sang the song PLEASURE and the title song TRIP TO AFRICA. Well, if you've never been to AFRICA, this is definitely your invitation. Enjoy ...
Sons of Selassie: Changes
Sons of Selassie, a reggae band from Cape Town, South Africa, came up with this beautiful album called CHANGES. It was transition time in South Africa, from apartheid to democracy. Nelson Mandela and the other prisoners had just been released from Robben Island. Headed for first democratic elections in 1994. All those hopes and dreams, all the aspirations and the winds of change that swept throughout Africa at that time is what you get on this album.
